Building applications have been filed with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new 8-story mixed-use building at 3547 Webster Avenue in the Norwood section of the Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Located between East Gun Hill Road and Woodlawn Cemetery, the land is close to Gun Hill Road tube station, served by trains 2 and 5. Yoel Landau is listed as the owner behind the apps.
The proposed 85-foot-high development will produce 73,121 square feet, with 59,895 square feet designated for residential spaces, 7,742 square feet for community facilities and 5,484 square feet for commercial spaces. The building will have 88 residential units, most likely rentals based on an average area of 680 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 26 closed parking spaces.
Genaro Ureta Inc. is listed as the official architect. Demolition permits have yet to be filed for the existing structure and an estimated completion date for the new building has yet to be announced.
